Hyre 1.3 (July)

Release notes

After a bit of time, we've been cooking some ideas (and have seen) some suggestions for Hyre to bring you the 1.3 release.

• All question/page types now include an optional "image" value, allowing you to add an image banner

• New "pin" value to lock applications, both manual and automatic, behind a 4 number code

• New "statement" page type, displaying only text and an optional image

• Recently updated our backend to provide further support of AI rankings alongside improving the amount of time it takes to grade an application.

• New "divider" option to add dividers in between applications (only applications for now)

• Added header label customisation as settings.header

• Added new "reducedmotion" value, disabling page animations

• Application unavailable? The reason will now be displayed underneath

• Multi questions now display the text selection from the application within the embed

• All users, no matter the rank, can access a manual application

• New "restriction" value within limits users with that rank or above to access the application

• Users are now restricted from applying for ranks they're currently as, including gamepasses

• Insane bug fixes, code rewriting, embed updates, dark mode updating, element sizing updating, settings module update, API module update, documentation update and much more

  July update

  We've been testing out 1.3 to ensure the best possible experience for all users. With this, comes additional upgrades and changes to better Hyre in many ways.

• Applications which require pins will now display a "pin required" label

• Questions within applications which require pins will be inaccessible to the user until the pin is authenticated, preventing against UI navigation

• System pages are now hidden until an application is loaded, also preventing against UI navigation

• To best determine the order of which your applications are displayed, all questions now have a layout value which can be modified. If left blank or on 0, it'll be mostly random.

• New gamepasspurchase toggle allows users to purchase gamepasses they do not own directly on Hyre. Keeping this toggle on false will hide gamepasses they do not own.

  
  

• Mobile users will now be locked in a vertical orientation and will not be able to use Hyre horizontally which would result in a broken UI

• Images that fail to load within questions will be hidden.

• Fixed padding and overflow of list on mobile UI

  

Documentation will be updated with new values on public release.
